Large Animal Services

At Pleasant View Animal Clinic, we care for your livestock and horses with the same attention and respect we give companion pets. Whether it’s an annual wellness check or a farm call for something out of the ordinary, we’re here to keep your animals healthy and productive.

Office & Farm Calls

We offer appointments both at the clinic and out in the field. We understand farm logistics and schedules, and we work with you to plan visits that fit your routine.

Our farm call service covers a set mileage radius, and we’re happy to talk through your needs and how we can best support you.

  • Regular wellness exams help us stay ahead of health issues before they become problems. During these visits we:

    • Listen to your concerns

    • Check body condition, teeth, hooves, and overall health

    • Discuss nutrition and herd management

    • Update preventive care plans

Preventative medicine is about keeping animals well and productive. That can include everything from vaccinations and parasite control to nutrition guidance and herd health strategies.

  • For performance horses and working animals, soundness is critical.

Our soundness exams help evaluate mobility, gait, and comfort so we can identify issues early. We’ll walk through what we’re seeing, what it may mean, and recommendations for next steps.

  • We use digital radiographs (X-rays) when needed to get a clear picture of bones and joints. For many lameness or injury concerns, radiographs can be invaluable in determining the right approach.

Having digital imaging available means we can assess, review, and discuss results with you right away.

  • Routine parasite screenings help us develop effective deworming and management plans that make sense for your operation.

Blood testing allows us to monitor:

    • Overall organ function

    • Metabolic status

    • Infectious disease exposure

    • Other health indicators

We’ll review results with you in clear terms and outline recommended steps for care or prevention based on findings.

  • If your animals are moving across state lines, going to shows, fairs, or markets, we can provide health certificates and complete required paperwork. We’re familiar with many regulations and will help make the process as smooth as possible.

  • We can assist with Veterinary Feed Directives as needed for your operation. We’ll guide you through requirements, documentation, and timelines so you can maintain compliance while keeping animals healthy.
